LIVING ON AN ISLAND IS VERY DIFFERENT
FROM MAINLAND LIVING!

WATER: is precious. We all rely on wells or rain water collection. Protect our water through responsible usage, proactive rain collection, and environmental stewardship.

FIRE: we are at risk of a fire emergency due to our limited resources. Know before you burn, be careful of cigarettes, limit high risk activities AND be observant of all rules as posted on website.

GARBAGE/RECYCLE: Carefully managed through taxation and user pay. Ensure our island is kept clean through good waste practices.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS: our community is isolated from resources and we require personal due diligence from all reSidents, to prepare, plan and act in emergencies. Know your resources, know your neighbours, have a plan.
