Snapshots of a great time...

For those who haven't attended a Woolgathering before, here are some pictures from the 2013 and 2014 events.

The Place:

For a start, Overbury Farm Resort is such a lovely spot...

The view is idyllic...

the Pavillion is a wonderful place to work...

the food is WONDERFUL...

and the new and old friendships are a delight!

The "Work":

Beth, who started it all as a rug braider, enjoying trying her hand at hooking.

Time, space to spread out, the beautiful view, makes it a heavenly three days for artists and crafters.

Weather permitting...

working outside is so peaceful

But the workspace inside is really adaptable...

to any size of project!

Sharing Skills:

There are no formal workshops, but lots of casually organized sharing, where people who have specific skills offer to demonstrate them to whoever is interested. Needless to say, we're all fascinated!

Like this one on "ice dyeing"...

where Val Galvin demonstrates an intriguing process...

and pulls some gorgeous colours out of the bucket!

Melanie Morrison demonstrates hand made lace (warning - it takes about an hour to produce 1 square inch, IF you know what you're doing!)

Jane LeBaron shows how to "butt" two ends of braid together

Sara Judith shares her skill and interest in punch-hooking

Mary Forbes introduces some local youngsters to needle-felting, when they dropped by for a visit

Some finished projects:

Obviously we can't show all the work that was done, but here's a sampling...
