Berthing MV Kuper overnight in Chemainus

PLEASE NOTE: as of 5/29/08 we have been advised that this project has postponed until further notice. Since there is no firm decision as yet to drop this project, we will leave this information here for you to peruse in case the project starts up again.

BC Ferries has advised us that they have compelling reasons to evaluate changing the overnight berth [Port of Assembly (PoA)] of the MV Kuper from Thetis to Kuper and the Crofton Ferry from Vesuvius to Crofton. They have begun an evaluation that will take about 1 year to reach a final conclusion and implementation. The Thetis TIRRA Executive and the Thetis Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC) are meeting with BC Ferries Management, gathering feedback and information, and planning an early July public Meeting.
